Due in part to the waning COVID restrictions and the Chapters growing success over the past year, the Kappa chapter was able to host this year’s formal in French Lick, IN, hosting a suit and tie lunch in the French Lick Springs Resort. All in attendance were able to enjoy a three-course meal of salad, bacon-wrapped chicken, and finally a strawberry mousse parfait. After the lunch brothers were able to take pictures with dates and one another, before heading off to explore the resort where some brothers went to the casino to try their luck, while others explored the grounds and the natural springs, for which the town was originally founded. Once everyone had their fill or lost all their luck at the casino, the remainder of the night was spent at a cabin rented out for all 30 guests. Everyone settled in and began the grills for that night’s dinner filled with tons of burgers and hot dogs for everyone to eat while they spent the rest of the night playing video games, watching movies, and just enjoying one another’s company. The next morning the group made a huge breakfast for everyone while they packed up their things and checked out of the cabin. The remainder of the time the brothers had was spent checking out the safari tour, go-karting, and playing mini-golf. Overall the whole event went very well thanks to the gracious work of Todd Kuebelbeck (Kappa-1100) and Mattie Hoard (Girlfriend of Kappa-1094) who worked together to coordinate the trip for the chapter. From there the brothers were responsible for getting with their rides and making their way home… after a quick stop at the casino.
